Salons and barbershops can post an employed role or a chair to rent. We check qualifications before anyone is put forward, and you can ask for a trade test.

What we check

Checks marked blocking must be complete before a placement can start.

• Qualification certificates checked, such as NVQ / VTCT or equivalent (blocking)
• Public liability insurance for self-employed and chair-rental roles
• Right to work (blocking)
• Portfolio or trade test where the salon asks for one
